When two people, destined to be together, totally in love, tie the knot, the celebrations are nothing sort of a spectacle. That is exactly what this three-day wedding bonanza was! The cross-cultural wedding was a true depiction of how being from two different cultures one can enjoythe traditions of both the cultures! It is truly a joyful celebration.

Sarina + Byron

WARMTH’ is the one word that sums up the entire experience that we had on shooting the wedding of the lovely couple, Sarina and Byron. If happiness is measured by smiles, then this bride would have possibly travelled miles. That’s how hearty a smile she sported all the way along her journey to her eternal day with the handsome groom Byron. After just a few mail exchanges and FaceTime calls, we got to know them very well by the time we started to the shoot their wedding. That’s one of the perks of knowing your photographer, which sets the tune for the couple to pose effortlessly on their big day, and eventually, gifting us with more candid clicks on the go.

It was a perfect family wedding, in fact, a grand get together, we should say. Not just the couple but also the entire gathering was in a gala mood all the time, rejoicing the proceedings, on and off the stage. A special mention to the lovely cousins and friends who flew down from the United States and were there with the groom, right from the day 1 to the wedding day.

It was a perfect beginning to the fairy tale between the couple who were oozing with love. ‘Made for each other’ is a cliché word to use but not when the couple complements each other so well. Sarina was cool, casual and completely carefree in the way she carried herself. Byron was calm, classy and very compassionate. As their photography team, it was a treat for us to walk through such an enthralling event banked on love with ample hospitality.

Himangi + Aadhaar

When you think Rajasthan, you think of the Thar desert, the colourfully dressed women, you think of Kesariya Balam Padharo Mhare Des, of stories of princes and princesses, of beautiful palaces, you think of a very Royal splendour. Seeing Himangi & Aadhaar evokes similar feelings. Their wedding in Jaipur was steeped in the richness of tradition.

The evening saw Himangi & Aadhaar in the glam avatars as they dazzled off and on the stage on their Sangeet night. All of Himanagi’s & Aadhaar’s cousins and friends put up stellar performances & the couple formally exchanged rings, as a part of their Sagai.

We had to take some time out to appreciate Himangi and Aadhaar’s fuss-free varmala held up-high in a jharokha with beautifully scalloped edges and intricate jallies. Dressed in a beautiful red lehenga , Himangi entered under a phoolon ki Chaadar made of roses.  The duo exchanged rose petal varmalas with only their close relatives witnessing this first step that got the ball rolling for the other wedding rituals.

It's hard not to stare doe-eyed at a stunning destination wedding like this one, and the venue Le Meridian, Jaipur made it even more special. The haldi, Sangeet, pool party as well as the wedding held at the opulent space made this entire multicultural destination wedding even more special.

SANAA + ARJUN

SANAA + ARJUN

No matter what, love finds its soulmates and makes sure they hold hands forever. Sanaa & Arjun’s story proves just that. As two carefree individuals roaming around and conquering the world in their own ways, little did they know that they will stand conquered by a feeling that’d supersede everything else.

They first met 20 Years ago. Sanaa noticed Arjun because he was her friend’s elder brother. Arjun has childhood memories of meeting her once a month and being allergic to eachother and as per Sanaa he was so Gawky’!

Sanaa moved to Australia with her family and Arjun’s  family moved to the US in 2005. They were in touch through facebook and there messages were limited to birthday/diwali/new year wishes….

Fast Forward 2014- 2015…

Sanaa moves to the US for work. They met again this time at Arjun’s sister’s wedding . Being with and around her energy for three days made Arjun realized that he didn’t want to let her go, without knowing when they would meet again.

The “ups” were the weeklong trips they would make to see each other every three months beginning June of that year… the “downs” were the times when they had to part, the time they had to spend apart, slowly working towards being together forever – a textbook long distance relationship.

In Arjun’s words -  “This story has only begun. The ride into the sunset will be glorious when it comes, but it is still only breaking dawn… and I look forward to cherishing each moment that comes till then.”

ELAISHA + JEREMIAH

The minute I heard my first love story, I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was. Lovers don't finally meet somewhere. They're in each other all along – Rumi

No matter what, love finds and binds soulmates and makes sure they hold hands forever. Elaisha & Jeremiah's story proves just that. As two carefree individuals, roaming around and conquering the world in their own ways, little did they know that they will stand conquered by a feeling that will supersede everything else. They met for the first time in UCLA - Law School, where Elaisha was Jeremiah's tutor in one of the semesters. But the “first meeting” was at a law school party when Jeremiah’s roommate introduced them. They spent a summer away from each other, and it wasn’t until both got back to law school after the summer that they were able to grow their friendship into something deep and beautiful – a bond that’s been growing and evolving over the years.

A close set of friends and family came together to bless this wonderful couple tying the knot in New Delhi all the way from California.

Theirs was a wedding full of colors, fun, and dance. We were lucky to have been able to cover E&J’s wedding and be a witness to this beautiful amalgamation of cultures. Wishing the lovely couple a very happy future together.

ANJALI + MICHAEL

When one hears the words “Goa” and “Wedding” in the same sentence, one is bound to have a mental image of fun, water, and grandeur. This is exactly what we experienced at Anjali & Michael's Goa wedding; all smiles and sunshine with a super fun photo booth and a beautifully decked up mandap on the beach. Colors are all that we remember from this wedding!!

With a couple as charming as them, it is only natural to stay stunned. Needless to say, we had the most wonderful time shooting their big day..

JAHNAVI + SANCHIT

Fusion weddings are close to our hearts for we’ve done a lot of them and pretty much know how to go about it on the big day. They are usually colourful and full of fun and rituals. Jahnavi & Sanchit's wedding combined the best of two cultures with a dash of crazy family and friends to make the whole wedding experience enjoyable for everyone involved. Jahnavi was super energetic and expressive; and was a delight to shoot!  Both of them had amazing chemistry making it a great wedding to shoot with opportunities to capture some amazing moments.

RAMYA + JELLE

RAMYA + JELLE

Tamil brahmin weddings are a treat to shoot, for all the fun and rituals they come with. The big day of Ramya and Jelle was no exception. The couple had a wonderful love story that stayed woven to their smiles all through the celebrations. “An Indian girl met a Belgian boy , and fell in love before they knew. In a matter of time, they decide to have each other by their side forever."

All the way across, with a bunch of thick friends from Belgium, they came down to Delhi, to get married. It was wonderful to see their parents getting into the gala and enjoying every moment equally too. And their friends, yes, they did light up the occasion with all the excitement in the world. Take a look at the special moments of Ramya & Jelle, compiled for you in this blog.

KRITI + AMAN

Kriti & Aman both are from Dubai and decided to get married in Zorba resort in New Delhi. The wedding of Kriti & Aman was a feast of hearts we’d say.

From the colorful mehndi till the tie of the eternal knot on the big day, it was a rollercoaster ride of love and laughter. If happiness is measured by smiles, then Kriti would have possibly travelled miles. That’s how hearty a smile she sported all the way along her journey to her eternal day with the handsome groom Aman. It was a perfect family wedding, in fact, a very intimate get together we should say. Not just the couple but the entire gathering was all the time in a gala mood, rejoicing the proceedings.

It was the perfect atmosphere that gathered in for the special evening of Aaisha and Avneesh. The décor was too good and the lights were dazzling as the Sun bid bye for the celebrations to begin. MANSI + MEHUL

MANSI + MEHUL

Mansi & Mehul's grand marwari wedding celebrations were held across three days at Westin Sohan. No, not a sufi night with just sufi-themed decor. An actual sufi night, with a real sufi singer - Hamsar Hayat Nizami. Sufi night was the best way to begin the wedding celebrations – where there was no place for fear, only a complete submission to love. Hamsar Hayat  submerged the guests in love as his voice rang through the night. The sufi night was quintessentially Turkish with hookas as flower vases, twirling dervishes, evil eye decor items and Morracan lamps.

The next afternoon, a very colourful mehendi ceremony took place. Mansi's inspirational mehendi design had detailed impressions of Radha and Krishna surrounded by authentic and intricate mehendi patterns. She wore a very pretty turquoise lehnga . Mehendi decor had quirky Indian elements with bold use of colours and plenty of fun photo-ops.

Day three brought this enchanting Marwari shaadi to its finale - The grand wedding! The theme of the day was inspired by the lotus, all pink and turquoise, with huge glass chandeliers and a mandap with hanging lotus flowers from the ceiling.

DILPREET + AYUSH

DILPREET + AYUSH

When we see Dilpreet and Ayush in the pictures, we see two best friends who love to laugh, be elated and just have fun in every moment. These are the kind of relationships we love to photograph; the kind of memories that will make you dance every time you look at the pictures later.

To start with, we planned the pre-wedding couple photoshoot  in a Diwali Mela. So what was supposed to be full day photo shoot was cut to a few hours and we had to move around fast. The ambience of a "mela" is pure delight for photographers; to walk through the beams of light falling all over and lots of people milling about; so naturally, havingthe couple shoot here upped the ante. We got lucky with some amazing moments that you can check below.

Later in December, the wedding and other pre-wedding celebrations rolled out beautifully in Delhi, at the groom's place. It was an intimate function with very few friends and family gracing the occasion. Needless to say the mood was vibrant as were the multicultural rituals of  both the ceremonies for the couple. We had enough space to move around and capture the moments. And it would be terribly rude of us not to mention the exceptionally warm reception we were given by everyone. Be it during the outdoor photography, the getting ready sessions or the wedding rituals; the time and space the families offered us was phenomenal. And as photographers, we couldn't have asked for more.

Happy to share the highlights in this feature. Take a look!
